Himanshu Patel

Himanshu M. Patel graduated from Vanderbilt University in December 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.  He then earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville in 1998. 

Himanshu concentrates his practice in the areas of complex commercial litigation, franchise arbitration, litigation and mediation, general business and corporate law and appellate practice.  Himanshu represents clients in state and federal courts and arbitration proceedings throughout the United States.  Himanshu is a member of the Florida Bar and is also admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Middle District of Florida, Southern District of Florida, District of Arizona, District of Colorado and the Eastern District of Michigan.  Himanshu is also admitted to practice in the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, Eighth Circuit, Eleventh Circuit and Federal Circuit.

In 2010, Himanshu was named a Florida Rising Star by Florida Super Lawyers.  Himanshu was also listed in the Cambridge Who’s Who Registry Among Executives and Professionals as a 2010/2011 representative for Miami, Florida.

Since joining Zarco Einhorn Salkowski & Brito, P.A., Himanshu has authored several articles discussing various issues in the franchise industry, including “Is Your Franchise Agreement Complete: Be Aware of the Merger and Integration Clause,” “A Comparison of Franchise Disclosure Requirements Under United States Law and International Law,” and “Is the Franchisee Responsible When the Guest is Injured on Hotel Property?”  Himanshu also co-authored the article titled “Common Issues in Hospitality Franchising,” which was presented at the 2004 Hospitality Law Conference in Houston, Texas.  Himanshu was also invited by the Asian American Hotel Owner’s Association to be a guest speaker at its 2003 national convention in Long Beach, California during which time he gave a presentation on how to successfully negotiate a franchise agreement.  Additionally, Himanshu was invited to speak at the 32nd annual Forum on Franchising, where he gave a presentation with his co-panelists on “Common Discovery Issues in Franchising.”
