Alissa N. Shapiro was born in Berkeley, California and grew up in Allentown, Pennsylvania. She graduated from the George Washington University in May, 2001 with a B.A. Political Communication, and earned her J.D. and LL.M., in intellectual property, from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2004. Since graduating from law school, Ms. Shapiro has lived in New York City, where she practiced intellectual property. Ms. Shapiro is admitted to practice law in New York and Florida, as well as before the Southern and Eastern District Courts of New York.
