All Star Boxing v. Alvarez Makes Top 50 Verdicts in Florida!
Melissa Softness is a Miami native and attended the University of Florida, where she received a Political Science degree with a minor in Theatre Studies. Ms. Softness earned her J.D. from Emory University School of Law, where she served on the Executive Board of the Mock Trial team and participated in Moot Court as a competitor and coach. During her time at Emory, Ms. Softness was selected as a Kessler-Eidson Trial Techniques Scholar, finalist in the American Association for Justice’s Student Trial Advocacy Competition, “Best Brief” winner and quarterfinalist at Vanderbilt University’s First Amendment Moot Court Competition, Dean’s Award Recipient for Criminal Litigation, and to the Order of the Barristers. While in law school, Ms. Softness worked as a certified legal intern at the DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office.
Prior to joining Zarco Einhorn Salkowski & Brito, Ms. Softness served as an Assistant State Attorney in Miami-Dade County for three years, prosecuting a wide range of felony cases from the filing stage through jury trial. Ms. Softness has been selected to teach trial advocacy at the Kessler-Eidson Trial Techniques Program at Emory University in May 2016.
