“The Great Equalizers” Show Strong Presence at the 2026 IFA Legal Symposium
Zarco Einhorn Salkowski, P.A. was proud to have six attorneys attend and participate in this year’s IFA Legal Symposium, held May 17–19 in Washington, D.C. — one of the franchise industry’s premier gatherings of franchise attorneys, executives, regulators, and thought leaders, with approximately 500 attendees from across the country.
Firm partners Robert Zarco, Himanshu Patel, and Michael Braunstein were honored to speak on panels addressing some of today’s most significant and complex issues in the franchise arena, including franchisor-franchisee disputes, trade secret litigation, and critical franchise agreement provisions.

A Night to Remember: UM Law ’85 Celebrates 40 Years
The University of Miami School of Law Class of 1985 reunited for a vibrant and stylish 40th Reunion soirée at Robert Zarco’s stunning waterfront residence, surrounded by lush tropical gardens. Guests were welcomed by a live violinist and a lineup of antique cars at the entrance—an unforgettable arrival that set the stage for a magical evening. Held during UM Law’s historic 100th Anniversary, the celebration carried an added sense of pride, fun, and nostalgia.
Attendees enjoyed a glamorous night of lively conversation, a live musical trio, delicious catered cuisine, signature cocktails, and the joy of reconnecting with longtime friends. The atmosphere was warm, spirited, and unmistakably Miami.
Dean Patricia Abril and Assistant Dean Georgina Angones shared dynamic updates on the Law School’s progress and its vision for the next century, offering thoughtful insight into UM Law’s continued evolution and impact.
Host Robert Zarco also addressed the class, highlighting the essential importance of supporting UM Law Scholarships to help open doors for future generations of aspiring attorneys.

As General Counsel for the Independent Association of Home Instead Franchisees (IAOHIF), firm Founder and Co-Managing Partner Robert Zarco, Partner Himanshu Patel, and Associate Attorney Alec Shelowitz attended the IAOHIF Conference in Denver, Colorado, at the Gaylord Hotel.

Robert Einhorn is Co-Speaker at the 2022 American Bar Association (ABA) Forum on Franchising
The ABA Forum on Franchising is the largest annual franchise event for attorneys in franchise law of all experience levels. It is a fabulous resource for networking, learning, CLE credits and more. It will be held in San Diego November 2-4 with the theme “Anchors Aweigh”.
Our Partner Robert Einhorn will lend his vast experience in Franchise Law and Complex Commercial Litigation as a Co-Speaker on the topic of taking effective Depositions during a Franchise Dispute. We are so proud of our firm’s leadership nationwide in franchise law, representing franchisees, franchise associations, multi-unit franchisees and more from over 500 systems in over 40 states and 20 countries.
Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness
Zarco Einhorn Salkowski, P.A. attended and supported a C-Note Dinner in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The special event held at Call Me Cuban by Yuca restaurant in the Cardozo Hotel had delicious food in a beautiful ambiance for a great cause, bringing together women and supporters of women to renowned Ocean Drive in South Miami Beach.
Event proceeds benefited the American Cancer Society via Team Miami Beach’s 2022 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign. Our firm’s CFO Edicsa Perez-Feliz was a featured Guest Speaker.
Local Artists, Bibi Andrade, Paula Turk, Sid Daniels and David Sexton created beautiful Art from busts for a silent auction. The event also featured a special musical performance by Jazmin Sabyna.

American Bar Association’s 44th Annual Forum on Franchising in Atlanta
The ABA is holding is hosting its biggest annual franchise event for litigation and transaction lawyers of all experience levels on October 13-16.
