Attorney Sabrina Zarco joins nationally recognized franchise law and commercial litigation firm Zarco Einhorn Salkowski, P.A., continuing the legacy of her father and national franchise law legend, Robert Zarco, at the forefront of business litigation and franchise advocacy.
In the world of franchise law, few names carry the weight, reputation, and industry influence of Robert Zarco. For decades, he has been known nationwide as “The Great Equalizer,” representing franchisees, franchisee associations, and business owners in some of the most significant business disputes shaping the franchise industry.
Now, a new chapter begins as the legacy continues.
Sabrina Zarco has officially joined Zarco Einhorn Salkowski, P.A. as an Associate Attorney, continuing a family legacy deeply rooted in advocacy, litigation excellence, and leveling the playing field in complex business disputes.
Sabrina will join the formidable Zarco team of attorneys this May at the International Franchise Association (IFA) Legal Symposium in Washington D.C.— one of franchising’s most influential legal gatherings — where leading franchise attorneys, executives, and industry decision-makers from across the country.
This moment signals more than a new hire. It represents continuity, evolution, and the next generation of leadership within a nationally recognized franchise law firm that has spent decades shaping franchisee advocacy.

Sabrina joined the firm in March 2026 with more than five years of sophisticated commercial litigation experience. Prior to joining Zarco Einhorn Salkowski, she practiced at Berger Singerman LLP, where she litigated complex business disputes in both state and federal court and represented clients through mediation, alternative dispute resolution, and trial. She has already earned industry recognition, including: Best Lawyers in America Ones to Watch (Since 2023) and Florida Super Lawyers Rising Star (Since 2024).
Her legal foundation is distinguished and highly credentialed.
A graduate of Emory University, Sabrina earned her Bachelor’s degree before obtaining her Juris Doctor from George Washington University Law School. During law school, she excelled academically and served as a Teaching Assistant in Legal Research, Writing, and Oral Advocacy — a role reserved for top-performing students.
She was also active in the George Washington International Law Review and the Alternative Dispute Resolution Board. Her experience includes internships with the Honorable Beatrice Butchko-Sanchez and the Honorable Beth Bloom, giving her exposure to both judicial decision-making and litigation strategy early in her career.
Beyond litigation, Sabrina has established herself as a speaker and contributor to the legal profession, serving as a panelist on litigation strategy and economic damages topics through leading legal organizations.

Partner Mary Nikezic attended the Future Investment Initiative (FII 9), held October 27–30, 2025, at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center (KAICC) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Held under the theme “The Key to Prosperity: Unlocking New Frontiers of Growth,” this invitation-only global forum convened senior government leaders, chief executives, investors, and innovators for solution-driven dialogue on the future of investment and public policy. FII 9 emphasized actionable pathways for growth across artificial intelligence and robotics, education, healthcare, and sustainability.
FII 9 brought together H.R.H. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud alongside senior officials and global leaders from countries including the United States, India, the United Kingdom, China, Syria, Brazil, and Pakistan, among others. Himanshu Patel Attends Annual Conference of Client, North American Association of SUBWAY Franchisees (NAASF)
Partner Himanshu Patel was with the Board of Directors and Members of the NAASF (North American Association of SUBWAY Franchisees) at their Annual Franchisee Conference held in Chandler, Arizona.
NAASF is one of over 40 Franchisee Associations represented by Zarco Einhorn Salkowski, P.A. as General Counsel nationwide. This conference allowed members to hear about the latest legislation and employment laws affecting franchisees. Robert Zarco addressed the membership by video conference on the latest NAASF Initiatives being taken on behalf of the Subway Franchisee Community.

Partners Einhorn and Patel Achieve Significant Arbitration Victory for Franchisee Due to Wrongful Termination, Retaliatory Conduct, and Bad Faith by Franchisor
Franchise litigation veterans, Robert M. Einhorn and Himanshu M. Patel, of Zarco Einhorn Salkowski, P.A. obtained a legal victory for its franchisee clients, securing a $1.35 million judgment against its former franchisor following an arbitration award in favor of the franchisee clients.
The lawsuit involved franchisor, Honey Do Franchising Group, Inc. (“Honey Do”), and its former franchisee 5 Talents, Inc. (“5 Talents”). The dispute arose when Honey Do wrongfully terminated 5 talents in retaliation for its reasonable demands that Honey Do comply with the terms of the franchise agreements and cease wrongfully competing in the territory. Honey Do initially brought claims against 5 Talents alleging that the franchisee had “abandoned” the franchises. 5 Talents counter-sued based on the wrongful termination of the franchises.
After an exhaustive eight-day arbitration hearing in Washington, D.C., the Arbitrator found that 5 Talents franchises were wrongfully terminated. The Arbitrator also found that Honey Do had breached its covenant not to compete and that Honey Do’s conduct violated the Virginia Retail Franchising Act. The Arbitrator’s decision not only held the franchisor accountable for the damages caused by the wrongful termination of the franchises, but also exposed the bad faith and retaliatory conduct by Honey Do.
“This judgment is not just a win for our clients but a win for the franchisee community a large,” stated Patel. “It underscores the importance of fair dealing and the legal protections available to franchisees under the law.”
Einhorn added, “We hope that this ruling serves as a reminder to franchisors about the importance of honoring their agreements and the severe consequences of unjustly terminating franchise relationships. Our team is proud to have successfully advocated for our client’s rights and secured this significant judgment.”

Michael D. Braunstein’s practice is focused on complex commercial litigation matters, with an emphasis on franchise law and complex civil litigation cases in state and federal courts, including appellate practice. He also successfully represents clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings. Mr. Braunstein’s representation includes high-profile cases and multi-million dollar business disputes. He has successfully obtained several multi-million dollar jury verdicts and awards for clients.
Mr. Braunstein joined Zarco Einhorn Salkowski, P.A. in June 2015 as a law clerk and continued working with the firm throughout his time in law school. He became an attorney in 2017.

Franchise Law Advocate Robert Zarco addresses his Client, the National Owners Association (NOA) a group of over 1,000 McDonald’s Franchisees, and the National Franchisee Leadership Alliance (NFLA)
Among many critical topics covered during his over 1.5 hour speech in Houston, Zarco concludes that ‘Joint Employer Liability’ to Franchisors is GREAT for Franchisees!
Joint Employer initiatives, applied on a case by case basis, will cause franchisors to ease control over their franchisees’ methods and processes of operating their businesses, allowing franchisees to be the independent business contractors they are legally intended and considered to be, according to Attorney Robert Zarco, veteran Franchise Law and Commercial Trial Lawyer.
Zarco further explained that Joint Employer does not change the definition of legitimate franchisees to Employees, as publicly asserted by McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski, when he accused the legislature of attacking franchising.
To the contrary, Zarco maintains that Franchisor CEOs and Presidents, like Chris Kempczinski and Joe Erlinger from McDonald’s among other franchisors, who through their incessant control and costly initiatives for the franchisees are the protagonists who are indeed attacking franchising and hurting the most important element of the system, the franchisees!
Firm Partners Salkowski and Nikezic Achieve Significant Victory for Client on Summary Judgment in Federal Court
Partner Attorneys Robert Salkowski and Mary Nikezic obtained a summary judgment in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida on all Title VII and Florida Civil Rights Act claims brought against their client surrounding allegations by a former employee of unlawful termination during the course of the employer/employee relationship. The victory allowed the employer to avoid paying significant compensatory damages as well as punitive damages in connection with the former employee’s claims.
This is a significant victory for our well-known fine dining restaurant client in Palm Beach County, Florida, who otherwise would have had to incur significant time and expense to defend at trial these unfounded claims in order to clear its name.

Mary Nikezic’s practice focuses on complex commercial and franchise litigation, representing institutional clients and individuals in a variety of business disputes. Ms. Nikezic represents clients in state and federal courts and in arbitration proceedings throughout the United States. Ms. Nikezic is admitted to practice law in Florida and Illinois, as well as before the United States Southern District of Florida and the Northern District of Illinois.
Before joining Zarco Einhorn Salkowski, P.A., Ms. Nikezic worked in Chicago, Illinois at several prominent litigation law firms, practicing as a trial lawyer in both state and federal civil litigation. She represented a broad spectrum of clients in the hospitality and beverage industries, including importers and suppliers, national hotel, restaurant and tavern and grocery store chains. Nearly 500 distinguished guests, including prominent clients and colleagues, friends and family from all over the country and locally, feasted their senses with tropical beauty, entertained by an 8-piece live band and DJ, an exquisite variety of delicious food, as well as numerous and extraordinary interactive entertainers cascading upon the beautiful outdoor garden venue on the bay throughout the evening.
The celebration, hosted at the residence of the law firm’s founder Attorney Robert Zarco, was themed “Tropicana in Havana” after the Latin roots of its founder and the people who have largely influenced Miami in the flavor of its music, food, and ambiance. The evening felt like a crescendo of excitement to celebrate the joys of life, the fruits of hard work, and fabulous friendships, with entertainment from dancers, models, musicians, and even a water show in the bay. It could arguably be deemed the ‘Party of the Year’!
