Biography
Alec Shelowitz is born and raised in Miami, FL. He graduated from the Pennsylvania State University in 2015 and thereafter attended the University of Miami School of Law where he graduated in 2018. During law school, Mr. Shelowitz was awarded Best Oral Argument in his litigation advocacy and writing course. Additionally, he spent a semester working for the Federal Appellate Clinic which assisted indigent prisoners appeal their convictions before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Shelowitz also interned for the Honorable Jonathan Goodman, a United States Magistrate for the Southern District of Florida and for the Miami State Attorney's Office where he challenged post-conviction sentencing appeals of convicted felons for the State of Florida.
Before joining Zarco Einhorn Salkowski, P.A., Mr. Shelowitz worked at one of Florida's largest insurance defense firms where his practice focused primarily on labor and employment issues and condominium and homeowner's association disputes. In addition, Mr. Shelowitz assisted clients in preparing a variety of employment documents including, but not limited to, employment handbooks, non-disclosure and non-competition agreements and arbitration agreements.
Mr. Shelowitz joined Zarco Einhorn Salkowski, P.A. in January 2023. As an associate of the firm, Mr. Shelowitz concentrates his practice on franchise law, complex commercial and labor and employment disputes. Mr. Shelowitz regularly represents clients in Florida state and federal court. Mr. Shelowitz is admitted to practice before courts in the Southern and Middle District of Florida.
In his free time, Mr. Shelowitz enjoys spending time with his wife and family, watching sports, and traveling.
